Dr. Jim Collins brings decades of ministry experience and a deep passion for preaching God’s Word, shepherding His people, and leading the church to make disciples both locally and globally. Pastor Jim’s heart is for people to know Christ personally, grow in their faith, and live out the gospel through everyday life and community impact.

Before entering full-time ministry, Pastor Jim worked in maintenance with U.S. Steel, UPS, and UAB, where he learned the value of hard work and servant leadership. He later followed God’s call to missions, serving from 2003–2007 as a Strategy Coordinator with the International Mission Board in Zacatecas, Mexico. Since then, he has faithfully served in several Alabama churches, including Bibbville Baptist in Woodstock, Evergreen Baptist in Evergreen, Farmstead Baptist in Jasper, and Redemption Baptist in Jasper.

Pastor Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry, a Master of Divinity, a Doctor of Ministry, and a Master of Arts in Biblical Archaeology, all from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

When he’s not serving in ministry, Pastor Jim enjoys time with his family, reading, traveling, and exploring biblical archaeology. He is married to his wife of many years, and they have two children, Drew (Lena) and Kristina, and two grandchildren, Sarah Anne and Noah. His favorite foods are Memphis-style barbecue and Mexican, his favorite actor is Clint Eastwood, and his favorite movies are the Bourne series. A proud Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Pastor Jim also enjoys watching Reacher and Blue Bloods in his downtime.

Dr. Donny Holley has served at PCBC since 1985 and currently leads in the areas of Adult Life Groups and Growth Groups, Leadership Development, and Discipleship. His passion is helping individuals discover and grow in their God-given purpose. Donny works to connect people with the right ministry opportunities, equipping them to serve effectively and faithfully within the church. He is also committed to fostering spiritual growth through discipleship and leadership training.

Dr. Holley holds a B.A. in Religion with a minor in English from Samford University. He also earned a Master of Arts in Ministry, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary.

His favorite verse is Philippians 3:10 (NKJV):
"That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death."

Ministry Area: Student Ministry & Kid Ministry

Matt Marsh has served as Family Pastor at our church for the past six years. He leads our Student and Kid Ministries with a passion for equipping families to grow in their faith together. His role focuses on nurturing spiritual growth through family worship, prayer, and Bible study, while also building strong community connections among families. Matt’s heart is to raise up disciple-making disciples, encouraging families to live out and share their faith in everyday life.

Matt holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and a Master of Arts in Ministry from Luther Rice College and Seminary.

His favorite verse is John 3:17 – “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

When he’s not serving in ministry, Matt enjoys golf, fishing, and cheering on Auburn athletics. He is married to Kelly, and they have three children: Will, Paisley, and Ailee Pavolini.

Sherry Rogers has faithfully served as our Financial Secretary for over a decade, celebrating 12 years with the church. She handles a wide range of financial and administrative responsibilities that help keep the church office running smoothly and efficiently.

Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

Sherry is passionate about anything related to dogs and enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to James and is the proud mom of Thomas and Drew (married to Shelby), and grandmother to Ava.
